Christmas Lights Outside
Do they need to be plugged into a special outlet? We have an inside outlet right by our front door that would be perfect since we want to do a lighted garland on our front deck. Is that okay? Or is that type of regular indoor outlet not sufficient? Both outside outlets we have are in our backyard.
Thanks!

Re: Christmas Lights Outside
You really should have a GFI outlet for anything that is near water (like outdoor lights). If the existing outlet isn't GFI, you can get one from HD, and it takes about 10 minutes to swap it out (if you're comfortable working with wires, and you are sure the power is off before you start).

Re: Christmas Lights Outside
we have 2 GFI outlets on all sides of our house ... we use those. we also got outdoor timers so that we dont have to worry about unplugging and plugging them back in
