White kitchens what countertops
So we are going with cabinets in the white family (not stark white they have a butterscotch glaze) and I did the island in a java colored cherry wood. Now what color counter tops.
If anyone has pics I am looking for inspirtation!

I used shivakashi. It def has pinkish undertones but my wall color and floor color is terra cotta so it works really well. Prob wouldn't work so well in yours.
My cabinets are off-white, island is a cognac color.
My mom has all dark cherry cabs and has Giallo Veneziano - I LOVE it.

I like granite with a less uniform look. Do you want a bold look with color? or something more tame? I like these:
 
We're doing white cabinets also, but a true white. I've been considering:
super white quartzite

i was going to suggest carrara marble (to die for!), but not sure that it will go with your island.

i like when the island and the cabinets have different colored granite- maybe try that. I like tropez gold too.

I have a similar color in my house and have Gialo Ornemental. Its very similar to the New Venetian Gold posted above. I also have New Venetian Gold in my house and I agree that it would look nice with your cabinets.

I think white cabinets can go with many granite colors, it's so neutral. I suggest going to a granite slab yard and check out the slabs, you'll likely fall in love with one slab and be able to decide that way.
I did alot of online shopping and fell for a few slab colors but ws disappointed when seeing them in person.
After one visit to another yard, I found the color that I like and just fell in love! It's a gorgeous granite that reminds me of marble, my first material choice.
