Flipping Over and Frustrated...

DD has been flipping from her back to belly since 3 months and seems to get frustrated because she cannot flip back over to her back. When she does this and gets upset and we flip her back to her back and then she goes and flips to her belly again and again! Any suggestions?

This sounds exactly like my son! Its like he is so excited that he can flip to his belly he wants to do it all the time. He has now started to flip belly to his back, but gets his arm caught. Once he gets stuck I help him over. But he is learning.

I would help her, but let her struggle a bit so she'll learn. Is it happening at night in her sleep? Does she flip even if there are toys over her head? Thats how I try to get my son to stay on his back a bit, but once he gets bored over to his tummy he goes.

I remember when Sydney was going through this. They just have to learn and we have to be there to help them when they get too upset.
