Air conditioner filter

How often to you clean it? My wall started to cave in again (3rd time in 4 months) and when my lanlord came he said that part of the reason is becaue I do not clean out my filter

How often do you clean/ change yours? I clean it approximately every 1-2 months. I do not believe that is what causing the issue with the wall.

confused as to what you mean by cave in?

I am supposed to change my AC/heat filter every month. probably closer to every 2 is what actually happens.

I have washable filters, so I just take a look at them once in a while, and when they look dirty, I clean them.

A dirty filter won't affect anything but how cold your house gets, and how much work your A/C needs to do to suck in enough air. It won't have any effect on the walls.

How would the vents or filters affect the structure of the wall?
