I hope no one was walking by my house a few minutes ago, they will think I'm the crazy lady on the block (because that was me in my kitchen)

We're going to North Shore Animal League. , so probably a mutt-i-gree  It's probably not the BEST time to start looking, but I would like to have her at least house-broken before a new baby comes (God willing  ).

Hooray for AF!!!
I adopted a puppy (a mutt) from them after my last m/c and by the time I had DD - got pg 2 cycles later - she was completely housetrained and awesome! And she is great with my DD!! Good luck!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! We adopted my newest cat from there 6 months ago after we lost the triplets! He is an amazing cat and I like to think that one day I'll have the baby/babies I was meant to have AND my cat.
I was actually just there last weekend looking at dogs and trying to get my DH to cave on a puppy. He was SO cute, but ultimately this is not the time for us to bring a dog into the house. It's just not big enough for 2 adults, 3 cats, a dog, and hopefully (knock on wood) a baby or two!!

No updates yet, we didn't go  We keep going back and forth on whether to get a purebred or a shelter dog. DH & I both like kind of knowing what we're getting as far as traits, but we may go on his next day off. I want a puppy now
