I didn't respond well to the Clomid...*update*
What? Seriously? They raised my dosage of Clomid, and I barely responded. w- T- Eff. ONE follie, 23mm. I almost always O on my own usually but honestly since I've been taking clomid for IUI's, it's messed with me royally. Not necessarily in a bad way today.
Dr then said, "oh you look like you're about to O! Have you surged yet?" I said no, still waiting for the and she then said ok if you surge, come in. Then she never ordered me a trigger shot script! Did she forget? Should I not trigger?
So confused. I think I am going to call tomorrow and ask.... What do you all think? ******************************** update 11/24-11/25
I ended up getting the trigger. She said she didn't think i needed it and I'd be fine but I got it just in case.
She was right. I surged on my own and went in on Thanksgiving morning for IUI #4. Sure enough, on a holiday! SMH..... We went back this morning, and I had ovulated (yeah no kidding, I felt it) My mature follie was 26mm before I O'd!
Now, we are in the 2ww. I booked my IVF consult for January. Pray that I don't need it....

Re: I didn't respond well to the Clomid?
eveponds to clomid differently...
i did 5 rounds and never had anything so you are off to a better start than me
i have also had months where i had 3 follies and the same month on the same meds had 1...i have no idea why that can happen
that is a great number for a follie so i would not worry
as for the trigger,do you normally? are you doing a iui or TI?
if u ovulate on your own you might not need a trigger..i do one myself bc i will not ovulate if i do not

Re: I didn't respond well to the Clomid?
It's weird. I used to O on my own all the time until my first medicated round of IuI. I got tracked and then they'd say "ok trigger on Friday night, see you Saturday!" I didn't really argue because I figured they'd have a handle on the timing.
My first round of Clomid= 3 giant follies My second round = 2 big and 1 little follie My third round = 2 follies on one side, avg. This is my fourth, and they raised the dosage. One follie.
I know, it ONly takes one. It just makes me nervous. I feel like I should call in the morning just in case.

Re: I didn't respond well to the Clomid?
Ok so I called, and they're calling in the script for the trigger shot. but...............
Please tell me if any of you have ever done this. I went to CVS late last night to get OPK's. I bought their brand because I can't afford the stupid digital ones anymore. I left them downstairs instead of bringing them up to my master bath, so this morning I POAS in the other bathroom and went along with my business of walking the dog, making the coffee etc.... I never checked the results!!!!
stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid idiot moron ACK
What do I do if I surged this morning? does that mean that iui is tomorrow?

If you did surge then the IUI would be tomorrow...why dont you test again and see if you are surging...could you go in tomorrow morning for bloodwork...that will tell you if you surged or not...

Re: I didn't respond well to the Clomid...*update*
I just have to say that I had problems with clomid that I never had on my own. The first round I was waiting and waiting to surge on my own (because I'd always Oed) but ended up in the office on CD19 with 2 follies at 30mm getting a trigger shot for an IUI that was basically pointless because of overmature eggs.
Now that I've been off meds for 2 1/2 cycles, it's clear to me that the need to trigger was a result of the meds and not a problem I have.

Good luck! Like you said, all you need is one so sending you lots of
when I was on clomid I only produced one mature follie...it was so disappointing, that cycle did not work for me but I have other issues that prevented it from working.

Thanks for the prayers and stickies everyone!
Bookworm, you just put something into perspective for me. My story is identical- and I had no idea my giant 30+ follies were overmature!
I hope this is it, gals. At the same time I'm trying not to get my hopes up. What a freakin see-saw ride!
