Does this sound right?
I called and scheduled my sono, per my nurses instructions yesterday. I go in on 11/29 , hopefully something will be there.
But, I don't have to go in for more blood work or anything until then, is this normal? I never thought I would be the person to WANT to go to the doctors office and get blood drawn. What if things change, what if the numbers go down, shouldn't they test me just to be sure. I am a bit worried, as if you couldn't tell.
How often did you go in after your postive beta?

Re: Does this sound right?
My RE only did my beta twice. Since they were happy with the rise between tests, they didn't feel it was necessary to check it a third time. I had my 1st sono about a week after the 2nd beta.
Good luck and congrats again!!!

This is what they did for me as well. I think with my first positive beta though I went in 3x for blood work, although I'm not sure why they didn't do it this time around.

Re: Does this sound right?
as long as the Dr is comfortable with the rise in the Beta then they will not continue with them.

Re: Does this sound right?
Dr. B used to do 2 but now 3 is pretty much standard regales of the rise in the first two. I think this isn't as common though an it seems like most people just go for two and then a sono!! You have good strong numbers and I don't think you have anything to worry about! :)

Re: Does this sound right?
Not sure with the RE but with regular OB they did it twice. First for quality (positive or negative and quantity then 2 days later to see if it doubled. Next appointment was sono and 1st ob.
