Turkey breast crock pot recipe
I know this is strange to ask on Thanksgiving week...
Since Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here, getting a whole turkey isn't the easiest thing to do. Besides, I don't think my tiny oven would even fit it, lol. It's also the middle of a work week, and I work until 9 pm, sop no time to roast a turkey . Last year, I did turkey schnitzel, and this year I found a nice turkey breast fillet. I've got two pieces at 2 lbs per piece.
Does anyone have a crock pot recipe? No soup cans or dry onion soup mix, I can't find decent stuff like that here.
TIA!

Re: Turkey breast crock pot recipe
I haven't tested it out yet, but here's a recipe 2.5 lbs turkey breast 2tbs canola oil 2 cups onions, chopped 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 1 tsp dried rosemary 2 cups chicken broth 1/2 cup white wine, optional 1/4 cup flour, optional
Brown turkey breast in oil. Remove from skillet and place in slow cooker. Sauté onions and garlic in reserved drippings. Stir in seasonings, broth and wine. Mix well. Pour seasoned broth over turkey in slow cooker. Cover. Cook in low for 6-8 hours. Remove turkey from cooker and allow to rest 10 minutes on warm platter. Remove 1 cup broth from cooker and place in bowl. Mix 1/4 cup flour into broth in bowl until smooth. Stir back into broth in cooker until smooth. Cover and cook on high for 10 mins or until broth is thickened. Meanwhile, slice turkey. Serve w gravy or Au jus.

Thanks! I saw similar recipes, and I'm thinking I may just do this. Just wondering if anyone has tried these recipes.
