UPDATE - Organix Brazilian Kertatin DIY
Has anyone done this? I saw it at CVS. It's a 30 day Keratin that you apply yourself. It got decent reviews on Amazon. I'm debating about doing this since I'm super lazy blowing my hair out. Has anyone tried it?
Update 11/26
So after eyeing it for a while and reading reviews I bit the bullet and bought it last week. I figured for $12 what does it hurt.
Yesterday DH took DD to work with him so I decided it was the perfect time to try it out.
After washing my hair with the shampoo provided I blowdryed it until it was almost dry. After that I sectioned my hair and applied the cream provided. I was a little concerned because some of the reviews said the product smelled bad and it caused fumes in the home but honestly it smelled good to me...like hawaiin tropic suntan lotion Also it didn't irriate my eyes or anything else for that matter and I applied it in my tiny NYC bathroom so that says something.
I left the product in for 30 minutes as stated then blow dryed my hair again with a brush and then flat ironed 2" sections of my hair. My hair is super long down to the bottom of my waist and the entire process took about 3 hours. My hair looked good after (a little greasy I think I applied too much product in certain areas) and today it looks good. I will update again once I wash it out tomorrow.

Re: Organix Brazilian Kertatin DIY
I tried it twice. First time I thought maybe the flat iron did not get hot enough so I bought a better one.
Still didn't seem to work though. Maybe I didn't put on enough solution.
And it took a long time (for me, though but I'm not the best with a flat iron.)
I watched a youtube clip on it and it seemed to work and the Amazon reviews I saw seemed to be favorable. So, no luck for me, but it didn't cause any lasting damage - and the days I couldn't wash my hair it looked so straight and awesome!!

Re: Organix Brazilian Kertatin DIY
didnt work for me..
however, i use the shampoo and coditioner for it..ive been using it i would say for 6 months + and it has made a huge difference in my hair. softer, easier to dry, straighter, etc.
i recommend it for anyone looking for the effects of keratin without spending the money and redoing it every few months. its not exactly the same result, but it helped a lot!
