Packing Light

I saw this on Cruise forum and thought it was so amazing. I am definitely going to try this the next time I go away.

I'm going to try this the next time we go away, but I still don't see it happening.

We saw something once about rolling instead of folding, and it works better for us. We individiually roll each item. Plus, no creases. Chat Icon

The Container store, or travel stores should have them.

I hate when men tell you how to pack light. With the TSA rules, you can only bring 3 oz containers of liquids & some beauty products don't come that small/can't be easily transferred into another container/are useless if you can only have 3 oz. (like sunscreen.)

I do like that hanging organizer though.

my husband is a roller too. it drives me nuts. i really dont believe it saves space, but he does

consequently his tshirt and underwear drawer are all rolled....and maybe there are no creases when you pack for a vacation....but when a tshirt is sitting rolled in a drawer for a month, it is FILLED with creases....way worse than standard folding

i am trying to either (1) get my husband out of the rolling habit or (2) PROVE that is actually does save space. lol

sorry to be a debbie downer, but this is something i still scratch my head over. lol

We feel that it works better because you can fill open smaller spaces. Instead of a stack of 10 shirts with space all around, you can roll and you have more places you can put the shirt, line up the bottom of the suitcase, etc.

We only do it for packing, not for regular folding. I never even thought of it that way. We usually hang up all of our shirts when we get to our destination so wrinkling is not an issue.
