Coating for Shower Doors??
I got a quote for shower doors today and it included $150 for a special coating to prevent/help soap scum. Does anyone have this coating? Is it worth it?
Thanks!

I don't have it (we bought ours at Lowes). 4 years later ours still look brand new. We squeegy (sp?) them after about 50% of our showers, and I clean them every 1-2 weeks. The product I use I think is what really does the trick (it's a scrub from Shaklee).

Thanks! Where do you buy that scrub?

Re: Coating for Shower Doors??
I would try using what millions of people use on their $50,000+ cars all the time..... Rain-X or car wax. We don't have shower doors, so I've never tried it, but I would think that if it works outside in the rain, it would work in a shower as well.
It's a cheap enough thing to try, and it's probably pretty close to what the installer is going to do anyway....
