Does it make me a bad person?
I have tried so hard to be happy for all the pregnant people in my life. To there face I tell them how happy I am for them. I get so excited. Inside I die. I came home and cried today for awhile. DH tried to be great and say "don't worry it will happen." I cried again. Today at work someone said this is... She is the mommy to all the kids here. Oh yes I cried again.
Please tell me that I am not a horrible selfish beatch. I feel like I should be happier for everyone and I am just not capable of that at all right now.

Our hurt is too deep and too much. It can't handle happiness for others. As I see it, it doesn't mean that we're not happy for others - it's just that our happiness for others is buried under our own sadness - but it's there.

No, and its totally normal to feel bad about it too... over labor day weekend i found out that my cousins wife was pregnant and my friend also... i cried my eyes out.
My cousins wife posted their Level 2 sono and announced that it was a boy...
I found out my friends baby has a heart defect and they have to make the decision to terminate or go to full term and the baby would be stillborn.
Now i feel even worse that it was her news that set me over the edge of being ok.

Before infertility, you were once a person who could share in the happiness of your friends and family. IF clouds all of that. You are not a bad person.

I believe this also. I feel like it's buried under this fog that follows you around day and night. You aren't a bad person, I imagine we all feel that way from time to time, or even all of the time.

IF changes you and makes you bitter. I think it's pretty normal. You see everyone else around you getting pregnant naturally, being happy and having their babies and her we are- stuck! It's not fair. We just want one simple natural thing that should come so easy like it does for everyone else.

i know exactly how it feels, and how much it hurts when so many people announce their pregnancy and all you can do is fake a smile..   hoping all of us get a BFP soon.
