Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam..

Throwing Rob a surprise party on Saturday. We have very little money so we are kind of doing a 'low income' theme. I will be serving our favorite cheap-o foods.

I really, REALLY want to do a SPAM dish. Has anyone ever eaten this? Any recipes? I have one for Spam Creole but I was looking for something else maybe...

My brother loves spam! He would just put it in between 2 slices of bread..and that was his lunch.

How about Mini Spam Nacho Burgers? or Spam casserole or Spam Home-made pizza!

In pr they put spam in rice with veggies- peas and corn I think.

i love the theme!!

the only thing i ever remember eating with spam was a "spanish omelette." i remember it being called a "spanish tortilla" (translated)

it was like a frittata, i think.

diced onions, diced potatoes, diced tomatoes, diced spam, and peas. this was sauteed and then covered with scrambled eggs. we would make it on the stove, but i guess it can go in the oven until cooked all the way through.

I have heard it is really good fried

also are you doing mac and cheese?
how about fried bologna?
ramen noodles?

I love this theme

I would do spam sliders, grilled cheese panini's (if you could get the brick of "welfare cheese" it makes the BEST grilled cheese, then you could just the rest for mac n cheese ) love the ramen soup idea.

I would have so much fun with this theme:
-pizza bagels
-mac and cheese (you can even add in the spam)
-pigs n blanket
-tater tots

Never had spam but we had a theme like this for a Halloween party and we made a tator tot casserole that went over big with everyone. It was delish!
