FMLA Help
Sorry to barge in ladies, but i just got some forms for my maternity leave from work that i need my doctor to fill out. Did you give this to your doctor to fill out?? Should i call their office and ask them how they handle this??
Also, did you need to provide updates to your company every 30 days? THe letter i got states this, but i am thinking this is more to do with people who are out because they are sick.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: FMLA Help
I gave my dr the paperwork, and they filled them out and gave them back to me after I had the boys. I then sent them to my employer. I kept in contact with my boss, but there is no official policy but we are a tiny company.

Re: FMLA Help
I filled out the FMLA request form. When I had the baby, I notified my office (obviously). They sent me a follow-up form to have the doctor's office fill out.
We didn't need to do a 30 day update. I'm in HR. Periodically our employees that are out on FMLA send me an update with their status (I'm planning on coming back x date; my doctor wants me out an additional 2 weeks, etc.)
