shower question
if you had a choice would you prefer Saturday or Sunday?

I prefer Saturday's...I even asked my mom to do them on a Saturday, but she said that most people expect a shower to be on a Sunday.

I like Sunday's but had to have my baby shower on a Saturday so my Dad, Step mom and Sister could come in for it.

all the showers i've been to have been on saturdays, but a sunday would be fine too.

My shower was on a Sat, but it was at someone's house. I do prefer sat's too.
I think restaurants/catering halls set that Sunday presedence for showers

i figured sat is good b/c:
1) traffic is better going home
2) most people just want to rest on Sunday and
3) will give me a day to put stuff away and relax.

Exactly! Mine was in CT, and people travelled from NY. I lovveedd having that extra day to go through our stuff, and put stuff away. I hate CLUTTER!
ETA: Having to travel to NY for lots of things, I despise traveling on Sunday to LI, Traffic is horrible and I have rsvp'd no to many parties held on sundays.

I picked Sat.
I know most showers are on a Sunday but I like Saturday ( The baby sprinkle I am throwing for my sister will be on a Saturday)
I think people should have Sunday to rest. Also if it is in a busy month people have Weddings and Christenings on Sundays. ( Most the weddings we go to are Friday or Sunday b/c it is a little cheaper)

I like Saturday. Both my bridal and now my (our) baby shower is on a Saturday. It works better because we have lots of family from out of state. We extend the party with family through Sunday.

stuck w/ Sunday.
my mom originally booked for sunday and the place is booked for saturday.
oh well- it will be fine.
