What is an IUI? New here! :)
Help! I dont know anything about these things....My OB has referred us to an Infertility specialist and Im not sure how I feel about it. We have been trying now for 7 months, with no success. I had bloodwork done and everything came back normal for my fsh, thyroid levels. DH's semen analysis came back low sperm count and low mobility of his sperm. Our OB referred us to an infertility dr (East Coast Infertility) I havent made an appt yet but I am going to. He recommended an IUI - What is that? And is any of this covered by insurance?

For an IUI basically they just put your DH's sperm through a catheter and straight into your uterus. It's timed around when you ovulate. It's painless... not much worse than a pap.

Some insurances cover it, you can call and find out. I call IUIs the turkey baster method

this..it takes 5 min just takes the swimming part out
