Is there such a thing as a good buffet?
Anywhere? Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau?
Please help, our crazy out of town relatives want to eat at a buffet, and we don't know of anything good in Brooklyn. But willing to go out a bit to find it.

The best buffets I've ever been to are the ones in Atlantic City (Borgata and Showboat). Not sure if you're willing to travel that far.
Most the buffets I know around here are Chinese buffets. There's also the Old Country Buffet (which I personally like) but its not exactly gourmet food. It's pretty much what you'd expect for $12 a person!

I think thats what they want a chinese buffet that serves sushi? lol ... I don't get it ... a million great restaurants in the city and I'm researching for a Chinese buffet

How about Garden City Hotel for brunch!
I haven't been in a few years...but it's about the only buffet I'll do.
Are they from the south? Cause down here people love their buffets they are everywhere!

The Garden City Hotel brunch buffet is fantastic; I'd highly recommend it! The International Buffet in Garden City is pretty good too.

I'm not a buffet fan but in little neck,Queens there is a Chinese/sushi buffet called Harvest Buffet that is very clean and fresh

Im not a fan of buffets but my friends tell me Minado in Carle Place is good. I've eaten there but I have no idea what constitutes a "good" buffet.

The best buffet I've been to was brunch at Novita in Garden City.
ETA: Now that I think about it, it was Mothers Day so they might not always do brunch buffet style.

There's a new Chinese buffet called Mizumi in Douglaston on Northen Blvd. It's out of this world!!!!!!!!
Extremely clean and fresh. And there's sushi chefs making rolls in front of you. I highly recommend it!
And it's reasonable, I believe about $25 for dinner...
