String bean casserole
Does anyone have a good recipe? I've never had/ or made this before.... but it was requested by some friends for our friendsgiving .

5 cans of sting heans
3 cans of cream of mushroom
1.5 cans milk
Fried onions, the frenchs ones
Salt and pepper to taste
3 packets of soy sauce
Mix all together pour over sting beans. I add the onions to the mix and then top the edges with onions.

You can use frozen string beans.
The recipe for this is on the back of the Campbells Cream of Mushroom Soup can and also on the back of the French's Fried Onion can.

Love this basic recipe! I like frozen string beans over canned hands down. Canned tends to be mushy and salty.

Alton Brown's recipe is my favorite green bean casserole. It uses fresh green beans, and the cream of mushroom is made from scratch (not canned). I love having this every Thanksgiving!
