HCG?
Is a 20% rise in 46 hours really bad? My BF just found out she is pregnant. According to her she should be about 5w2day (She's pretty sure about this...actually according to her LMP she should be more like 7 weeks along but she's going according to when she BD)
First HCG taken at 20DPO was 559 prog 7.9 (put her on suppositiories)
Second HCG taken at 22 DPO was 686 so the rise was about 20% in 46 hours.
No sac seen in sono taken at 20DPO. Now at 24DPO she just had another sono taken and still no sac just a little thickening of the lining. Her Doctor said possible ectopic?
I should also mentioned that she has one DS conceived after getting the HSG done (she had a blocked tube) but that was 4 years ago.

Re: HCG?
those numbers are def concerning. the rise for 48 hours should be at least 60%. it doesnt mean the pregnancy is not viable but its not great numbers, esp for 22DPO. by 22DPO she should be in the thousands already if it were doubling normally. however it doesnt seem like she really knows when she conceived so that might be throwing it off a bit. but i would absolutely be concerned for a beta only rising 20% in 2 days especially if its in the 500-600 range. you def need to see a much larger jump to feel comfortable, but like i said, that doesn't mean its not viable, just concerning.
i wouldnt worry about not seeing a sac, you won't see anything on a sono before your beta is around 1000.
good luck to her!!!

Re: HCG?
Thanks Flowerwife. That's what I thought. Her lmp was 9/21 which should put her at almost 7 weeks but she's sure she o'ed later. I'm trying to be optimistic for her but it doesn't look good.
