two slow cooker questions
I have never owned a slow cooker, but want to get one. 75% of the time, i'm cooking for just 3. Ideally though, I'd like to have the option to make larger amounts of food when I need to. Do the large slow cookers do well with the recipes for 2-4 people?
Second, if there is a warm setting, can I take some food out and then let it stay on warm until I'm ready to take out the rest? DH has a new work schedule and would need to pack his dinner several hours before DS and I would eat it.
Thanks!

Re: two slow cooker questions
2-4 servings in a large slow cooker would probably be over-cooked. We have a large and a smaller one. PITA to store, but I get a lot of use out of them both. I use the large for big batches of things and freeze what is left (pulled pork, chili, etc.).
Food is safe for up to 2 hrs on the warm setting. If it is going to be longer, I would keep it on low if you can!

Thanks for your response! Since there's more like 3 or 3 1/2 hours between DH taking food and DS and I eating, I should probably just give it to DH to reheat at work the next day

Don't buy the kitchen aid one... where is cooked great, there are defects with the ceramic crocks and the crack alot. I just bought this one (recommended from a friend) to replace my kitchen aid, crockpot

That's the one I bought too. It was on sale and I had an extra 30% off! I just wanted to ask my questions before I use it so I can decide whether or not I want to keep it. It is very large
