Secondary Infertility

I am new to this site but I've had one of those days where I keep going in circles trying to find answers I don't have... how can I have one beautiful child and not be able to conceive another?? It tears me up inside.. is anyone else out there having this problem??

Me. Very much me.

We have been trying for 2 1/2 years for our second child. My DD is 4 years old (we had no trouble conceiving her). My desire to give her a sibling is equal to, if not greater than, my desire to be a mom again.

I recently suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks after our 2nd IVF cycle. We'll probably be doing an FET sometime after the new year.

The sibling factor is what is driving me now...it used to be just about me wanting another child and the focus has now become on giving my daughter a sibling. My "dream" family is now a distant and painful memory and I am trying not to give up on this for my daughter.

Hi ladies, I haven't posted on this board in a couple years, but I can totally relate. I struggled with IF for 4 years TTC #2 so I can competely relate. I never knew my heart could break in so many pieces for so many reasons. I remember DS picking a sibling over a puppy, a new house, any toys, he just begged for a sibling. After multiple failed cycles, we pursued adoption.

I now have 2 boys, 6 years apart who absolutely adore each other.

Thank u so much for posting! You are not alone. Please don't feel like that. I have a beautiful DD who is 4 1/2 and asks me for a sibling every day. I feel guilty crying over the situation when I have a beautiful child and so many are struggling to conceive their first. It is just a different pain when your body was able to produce a baby and now you have no control over it. Totally different life plan. Please FM if you'd like to talk because I completely understand

The hardest thing is that this situation is completely out of my control. I have days where I am perfectly happy and feeling blessed because I do have a beautiful healthy child and am very lucky to have a child because there are so many struggling to have one. and then i have my days where my idea of a big family is not going to come true and im upset because i cant have the one thing i want more than anything. this is a very difficult path we are on and it has its up and downs. im very grateful but still feel like im missing something, someone.
