Furniture help

We just bought a new TV, 56" flat screen and I need to find a new media center/entertainment center and I'm running out of places to look.

Can anyone suggest stores/catalogs?

So far I've looked at Pottery Barn, C&B, Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Ralph Lauren Home, Macys, Thomasville, Ethan Allen....

Your help is appreciated!!

i am getting a flat panel and bought a low bookcase to to put it on. i also have taller bookcases that flank each side of the low. bought all 3 from pottery barn. i REALLY like the look, very traditional. personally i am not a fan of the typical entertainment centers.

something like this large tv stand from PB would work. depending on the length of the wall, you can flank it w/ tall bookcases.

That's exactly what I am looking for, I know the set you're talking about, I love it, unfortunately it's too wide for our wall. Of course I could just buy the center console but I like the shelves next to it... I don't like traditional entertainment centers either...

And the small console from PB is too small for th TV...

I just ordered a coffee table from this store out in the hamptons - they can custom make things if you want a different finish..... I just looked and they have some beautiful Flat Panel Wall units. You almost have to go there to appreciate how nice the furniture is. It can be a little pricey though and I'm not sure how much you want to spend.

actually the bookcases that i bought aren't the same. the 2 tall ones are but not the low one. as long as the wood is the same color and the style is similar, it will definetly flow. the tall bookcases that i bought would be perfect for you cause they are really considered towers (not as wide as the traditional bookcases). let me see if PB still carries them.

found a pic of the bookcases/tower that i have. apparently it is not availalble anymore but if you are interested, you can call PB and still if they have some left in stock. sometimes things are discontinued but there are still a few items left over.

HERE is the link if you want to view the measurements.

WOW, their items are REALLY expensive. there is a store in huntington village that carries many of those lines and the prices are not nearly that much. beautiful l pieces though.

no problem. i have the receipt filed somewhere if you want me to check the price. i think it was around $400 each. might have been lower because i remember that they were having an unadvertised sale at the time, plus i used a 10% off coupon.

let me know.

found 2 more that you might be interested. both are from restoration hardware. although the 1st one is nice, IMO it is a little heavy looking.

#1 - stand
#2 - stand
