Pellet Stove owners please come in

We have a existing fireplace and i wanted to see about getting a pellet stove. I have read that you can have them placed into your existing fireplace. Can you guys recommend the companies that you used for your pellet stove? Do they come into your home and take a look at the space? what questions should i be asking a professional? If you can share pricing that would be great too (can FM that).

We have a freestanding unit we bought at lowes. We went to a few places that installed them, like kaufmans in Riverhead but DH decided to install it himself. We've had it about 4 years now and it's great, very easy to take of and trouble free.
