High Testosterone?
The times I have had it tested it has been slightly high. I had the glucose blood test and it was fine. My dr doesnt think I have PCOS. Do most people who have high testosterone have PCOS?

did they test your insulin not just sugar? i would recommend an endocrinologist and not a reg ob for this issue xoxo

My RE is the one who had my insulin tested. But, just a blood fast test.

Did they run a whole panel? Do u havw reg cycles? I would ask for a copy of blood results and post it here any maybe someone can help as well. Xoxo

I had very irregular periods but, since I started accupunture they are now regular. The only thing that has been off in my bloodwork is the slightly high testosterone. The thing is though I do not have any of the symptoms of high testosterone and my RE does not think I have PCOS and does not want to put me on metaformin.

I have PCOS and I am not on metformin because my insulin levels are normal...PCOS manifests in soo many ways...every person with PCOS may have different issues...my LH:FSH ratio is 3:1 which is tell tale sign...my testosterone is normal so it all depends.

normally people w/ pcos does have high testosterone (hence the symptoms of breaking out and growing hair in unexpected places) .... not everyone does but i do

I am not ruling it out its just that my RE says she does not think I have it. How do I treat it if its hard to diagnose?
