Buying furniture in NC?

Has anyone gone to NC to buy furniture? Is so where did you go? Thanks.

We did and we saved a ton of money. The place that we went to has since closed.

The showrooms are HUGE and I found a lot of stuff (including the stuff that we bought) that didn't have any distributors up here. When we shopped here, I felt like we saw the same stuff everywhere we went.

If you are going to make the trip down, make sure you take pictures of every room and have detailed drawings/measurements of windows, doors, outlets, baseboards etc.

The place we had bought from literally had a huge room just of fabrics to choose from!

Definitely not worth it if you are looking for just a few pieces, but if you are looking for a few rooms it is worth it.

No, but I have ordered furniture online at an NC website. Unless you're buying alot, the cost to ship the furniture really adds to the price. It would not be economical to do so unless you're buying alot of pieces.

I find that you get very competitive prices if you just ordered at a local discount furniture shop or even discount online shop. Just give them the manufacturer and model # to get your quote on the phone to compare prices before ordering.

I did and furnished my entire co-op in 2004. It was a huge savings....
You can shop up here and then call and price/order from down there. Furntureland South has the largest selection! That place is crazy!
