With my DS, we registered at BRU and also BBB. We didn't duplicate items on the registries, but one store had certain things and the other had other items so it worked out best.
For example, BRU didn't have the stroller or crib mattress I wanted. So I put those on my BBB registry. The majority of things were on the BRU registry since that's most convenient for our family and friends.
