If you've gone on a recent RC cruise
Last time DH and I went we could not bring booze onto the ship to have in our room. They always took it away and put into storage for us to get back when we left the cruise. Is this still the case? I'd like to bring a bottle of something to have in our room this time!

No, they still don't allow you to bring your own alcohol (or non-alcoholic beverages) on-board: RCCL Beverage Policy

They do not allow personal alcohol. You can order it through their website if you want it.

Did they bring this back? I knew for a while you could order a 'bar setup'... but then they stopped it about a year ago. Did they reinstate it?

there is no bar setup that I know about, but you can purchase a beer package or a wine package or a drink package, or just order a bottle of wine or champagne to have in your room when you arrive. I do not know if it is possible to do with hard liquor...
