I just smelled the inside of my Metformin bottle and
it smells like old fish!!! I never noticed this before (I've never smelled the bottle before- I took a pill out and caught a whiff, so I investigated further). Is this normal or do I have bad pills?

I actually noticed that the very first time I took metformin!!  Now I just toss it toward the back of my mouth and swallow.

i wish i had never read this i can't take my DHA pill b/c of the fish taste/smell/aftertaste. and now metformin too?!?!

normal?!!! really? how the heck have i never noticed this before?!!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?! i was actually hoping they were a bad batch!
btw,keepingsecrets, i too am very picky about DHA and i found that the target DHA is AWESOME!

I think it's actually the worst the first few times you open it when you get a refill. Is your container relatively new? ... After a few weeks, the smell dies down a bit.. till you need to replace it with a new one!  Yummmm metformin..........

It's like 3 weeks old. Its the 750s. When I get home, Im going to smell the 500s

the target one is the one i take! i'm super sensitive to fish smell/taste b/c i hate fish and all seafood. the first time i took the DHA i had a huge fish burp after and it scarred me for life

As if the other horse size pills, shots, patches, hot flashes weren't enough, now we have smelly, fishy Metformin bottles!
I'd actually take the fishy smell if it didn't destroy my stomache!

OMG... Dr B was like make sure you get the coated pills otherwise you will be burping up fish... News flash, not even the coated ones stop that lol

I just smelled the 500s I had lying around and it smelled like fishy paint thinner. YUM! I cant believe I never noticed this before!

You know, I never actually noticed that, but I just stuck my nose in the bottle, and yup, you're right!
I have to say though that the sample of prenatals that Dr. B's office gave me last week is a billion times worse. They reek of fish and taste like it too. I gag each time I take one. Definitely asking for something else on Friday!

This thread is hilarious. With all the pills Im taking I think the worst is the DHA too. Ugh the burps on an empty stomach after taking those are the WORST. HAHA
My friends came over a few weeks ago and saw the pills on my counter... he said, I dont know what those are but those are the biggest pills Ive ever seen, haha.
