(pic included) If you have those lit holiday village displays....where do you put them?
especially if you don't have a mantel.
Any ideas?
I used to do it at the bottom of the tree, but it doesn't do it justice.
this type of thing:

We have one of those 9 cube book cases that is only about 4 ft tall and we put it on top of that. I'll see if I can find a pic.

I put mine on our TV console, since the TV is hanging on the wall.

Ours goes on the sideboard in the dining room. My step-father has a village that is so huge, they start putting it together around this time of year. They had a table made just for the village and it is in a room all by itself.

I also put mine on my dining room sideboard, which sits right under the window. I only have about 8 or 9 houses that mom and I bought years ago.

Don't have one, but if anyone is interested, Dodds and Eder nursery in Oyster Bay has a "seminar" on how to set these up with tips and tricks type of stuff.
Coming up on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m. ... Join us for our Department 56 Display Workshop. Learn valuable techniques and tips for creating a beautiful and unique display for your Department 56 Village. Come ready with questions!!

Sideboard in the dining room. I only have about 6 or so houses and some small accessories, so it's actually the perfect size for my village.
When the kids are older I would consider the bay window, but right now that would be a disaster waiting to happen.
