timing of IUI after trigger
does it matter if your IUI is 24 hours or 36 hours after the trigger? My RE does them approx 24 hours later but I keep reading when I do a google search that 36 hours is optimal? just wanted to see when others currently get them done... TIA!

If I didn't do back-to-back IUI's they were either 24 or 36 hours depending on the clinic I was at. I never got a straight answer as to why some docs prefer one time frame over another, just persoanal prefernece based on their experience.

I did mine about 24hrs apart...the RE only does them in the mornings so 36hrs apart couldnt happen...they said after you trigger you would ovulate 24-48 hrs after so as long as the sperm is there to meet the egg you would be fine

I did them 24 hours apart, however DH and I also BD'ed that night to make sure we had our bases covered.

ok thanks, i'm just concerned that my IUI was poorly timed... I took the trigger Monday AM, but FF shows based on my temps that I O'd yesterday (Wednesday) and my IUI was done Tuesday AM, not really sure how long the washed sperm live... we did BD the night of the IUI and last night just in case.. fingers crossed!!

temping isnt always accurate once meds are involved. it always told me i o'ed 3 days or so after trigger. id stop temping, it isnt worth the stress if u are being monitored appropriately.
