Pain after IUI...
so I had the IUI yesterday but today I have pressure in my abdomen...what could the cause be? I feel like I want to puke and I dont know if I can take anything...this really sucks and I just want to crawl into my bed and lay there for a week.
Has anyone had this pain before and can I take anything?

is the pain more like an extreme bloated, gas feeling? like somebody put a hard balloon in your stomach? that's how i would feel after IUI's and it was awful but did go away within a day or two. the dr said it's something about fluid buildup and the best thing to do is drink TONS of gatorade and pee a lot. all that said, if the pain is other than bloating and doesn't feel right to you, definitely call your dr. feel better

It feels like a lot of pressure and sort of like bloating...hard to describe it other than feeling sucky...if I dont feel better by tomorrow I will call the doctor...I hope it goes away...I will def drink lots of fluid to see if it helps...thanks

Sounds like a little bloating from the meds and trigger shot. Hopefully drinking lots of fluids helped.

ITA, i don't have bloating yet from the IUI but I was severely bloated this AM and i think that is from the trigger shot. Hope you feel better!

what meds did you take? ive had all different pains, the worst was due to fluid in and around my ovaries from all the meds.
ive also had pain from the trigger shot. for some reason the trigger messes with me bad.

I used to get bloated after my IUI's after my meds were increased. Doc, says it is from the trigger, and enlarged ovaries. Drink lots of fluids, maybe some ginger ale for the nausea, might help. Feel better

I had the trigger on Sunday but I didnt have pain that day...I had the IUI monday and the pain wasnt too bad after...today its bad...I dont know if its me ovulating or what but my abdomen hurts...I hope it goes away in the next couple of days...

if you triggered on sunday you prob recently ovulated so its prob pain from ovulation and bloating. the trigger and other meds can def cause fluid buildup around the ovaries which may cause pain. i only had that kind of pain when i ovulated several follies, but i was also prone to OHSS. it should go away in a few days. drink gatorade and fluids with electrolytes.
