I went about 30 minutes from my hometown. Although I had a great childhood, I was sick of the North Shore (no offense to anyone!) and wanted to head South.

I moved states :)
Grew up in queens. bought my first place in floral park. then rented in manhattan. then bought in manhattan. then bought in CT.
DH grew up in Colorado. Then moved to Virginia in his early 20s. Then moved to Manhattan to move in with me.

We are both about 20 mins from our old towns. Both about 15 mins from both our mothers too.

We both grew up in Queens and now in Nassau. We both want to move back
