IUI and trying on your own
Do you try on your own also when doing an IUI or are you not supposed to? If so, how long before IUI do you?

i'll be doing my first IUI this month, but based on the pamphlets i got from the RE's office, it says you should abstain from BDing 2-3 days before the IUI. Afterwards I guess its up to you when you want to BD! I have heard of some BDing the night of the IUI and a few days after... I guess I will ask when I go back in for monitoring.

My doc told us to abstain 3 days before the IUI. Once we had the IUI, he said we should BD as much as we wanted to make sure we had the best chance to get to our eggs fertilized. 11 days later we had our BFP! And 12 days after that we had found out it was twins!! Good luck!!!!
