Ecca Becca?????

My mother and grandmother used to make this dish they call ecca becca. I'm 99% sure that's not how it's spelled, because I can't find anything about it when I do a search. I'm assuming it's either an Eastern European and/or Jewish dish. It has macaroni, tomatoes, ground meat, green peppers. Anyone know what this is?
