if you do buffet style- what do you use? sternos?
what do people use these days?
sternos still?
I always see those side-dish warmer systems @ Kohls, etc but honestly , they don't seem like they hold enough ( we do big portions over here!  )
what do you use?

sternos always, for large crowds.
I also cook and freeze a ton in the 1/2 pans, warm in the oven and put in the sternos when the party starts. super easy!

Sterno's, if the food is fully cold, they take 2 hours for them to get hot if you only use the sterno's (2 lite) and then after that you only need 1 to keep it warm.

My mom has 11 brothers and sister. Total I have about 50 first cousins. We all try to get together every major holiday. We use pans and sternos. Everyone brings a dish or dessert dish :)

Sternos for sure. Those ones they have in kohls come in handy for things like gravy, sauce or veggies.

We use crockpots too for the holidays - my mom brings both of hers and my sister brings hers too - keeps everything warm!

I have one of the 3 dish heating trays from BBB, it's okay for a small group, but like you said, you need more space. We usually use sternos.
