What, if anything, do you do with the ends of the bread?
I personally do not like to eat the ends of the bread. It's like eating all crust, not for me.
But today I was freezing some bread (except the ends) and decided not to throw those 2 pieces away yet. There must be something I can do with them, right?

First, keep them on the loaf until it's done to keep the end pieces fresh. Then freeze them. When you've got a bunch of frozen ends, make breadcrumbs!

We eat them for sandwiches. My kids don't like it.. but I can trick them by making grilled cheese with the crust sides in. Or as French toast in a baked french toast.. I tuck them in there with the rest of the bread and they NEVER notice!
If you are completely IO re: eating them as is.. you can make croutons, breadcrumbs or soak them and use them for meatball mix or use them for stuffing.

Yup! I save all the ends and when I have a nice bunch I grind them in the food processor with fresh herbs and use them as breadcrumbs.
If I have a lot or it's near a holiday I make crutons. Cut them in small squeares, fresh herbs, olice oil and bake at 350 for 25-35 min or until brown and toasty!

I put peanut butter on the brown side and the white side out. I make the kids PB&J and I dont think they have ever noticed, and dont get me wrong, if they knew they wouldnt eat it - me either LOL
