flu shot
My gyn said I should get the flu shot- he says its safe and inactive. My primary said she only has the 'regular' one and she thinks there is a mercury free one for pregnant women?
I'm confused. Where did you go? What do you ask for?

my OB gave me the mercury free one... last year i got the mercury free one at walgreens for around $30

Go to your local pharmacy. I know that Rite-Aid has the mercury free one. I asked my OB and she recommended I take the merc-free one. (Your insurance will cover the shot no matter where you get it).

I got the mercury free shot at walgreens about a month ago. Unfortunately my insurance (1199) didnt cover it. I could have gotten it free at work but they didnt have the mercury free shot available. It was only $30.00.

I went to Target and they only have the regualr one but ordered the preservative free one for me. It took 2 days to get it in.

I called dr to question it and they said they tell people to get the regular one but also said if there is a mercury free one thats fine too ???
Why would they say its ok?

Why would they say its ok?
My dr told me EITHER shot is fine to get the amount of mercury in the regular shot is very minimal. My dr told me If i feel more comfortable getting the mercury free shot to get that one. Since i worry about everything i got it more for peace of mind. You DONT have to get the mercury free shot. But alot of pregnant women feel more comfortable getting it

went to rite aid and they ordered the mercury free one for me. I am getting it on Saturday. I have really good insurance, but surprisingly they dont cover it unless it is in a doc office. Either way its only 28 dollars, so its not too bad.

CVS also has the mercury free one. If your insurance doesn't cover it, you get a $5 gift card. The shot is also $30.

I got the perservative free one at Walgreens, I just walked in and they had it and my Insurance covered it.
