New to Oil Heat-Need Help
My sister is moving into a house in East Northport and it is heated by oil. She is eligible for Heap benefits but she says she needs to get an oil contract first? Does she just call companies and ask for prices? I think she wants where they fill it up every month. Also, fi you rent to you get a service contract?
TIA

Re: New to Oil Heat-Need Help
If she is renting, she should talk with her owner as they may already have regularly scheduled oil deliveries and a contract to service the oil burner.
If that is her responsibility, just call the oil companies, ask for their price per gallon and the cost of their service contract. Call a few to get prices and then negotiate down the one you want to the price you want (within reason). Most companies will put you on an automatic delivery as they will determine your need and fill up when it's needed and contracts last 1 year.
Or you can do the COD route and pay for each delivery as it's needed.
