vacuum for wood floors and pet hair??
i have officially had it with my dyson ball. besides the fact that its on the fritz, powers on and off, smells funny, looses suction and i have cleaned it out so well.. it doesnt pick up dog hair off the area rug and just spits dust around on the wood floor.
does anyone have any recommendations for me?? i definitely prefer an upright.

Hmm...I am in the same boat as you. Looking for a new vacuum. I was actually looking into a dyson ball. But I guess you wouldn't recommend it, huh?

I still think Kenmore canister is the best . I have an electrolux Oxygen and its pretty good... but another brand is just using the electrolux name now and its not as good as my Kenmore was.

ITA! This is what we have, and we also have wood floors and one very hairy dog that sheds a ton!

I have an Oreck and it works very well on my wood floors with all the dog hair!
