What do migranes feel like?

I'm not sure if this 2 week long headache is a migrane. And today I'm dizzy and i lost my balance and fell.

There are different kinds.

I get migraines with aura- it's awful.
Before the migraine hits, I get vision loss- like blind spots or seeing zig zags or flashing lights. Sometimes I lose my peripheral vision. SCARY AS HELLL!

After 20 min or so my vision clears and a headache comes on.

It's usually on one side and it's THROBBING.
My migraines almost always come with nasueua and sometimes voimitting. Sometimes I get some numbness in my hands/face too.

They are much more than a headache- they are actually a neurological event.
And they suckkkkkkkkkk!

OMG, I get migraines like you wouldn't believe! Yes, the are usually on one side of the head, near the temple and they are very, very painful. I don't get aura's, but I do get dizzy and nauseous. I usually take 4 Advil (when not pregnant) and drink a coke or diet coke for the caffeine. A cold compress and a very dark and cool room. They are not fun.

I'd had two so far this pregnancy. Extra strength Tylenol does nothing - but the caffeine I usually stay away from is a must.

I get the same symptoms as others have said. I also get real bad neck stiffness. There are also times when the head doesn't even hurt, but the light just kills you and you feel dizzy. MIgranes SUCK and I am telling you, at times you can feel like your dying. I get them in clusters, where they can last (come and go) for weeks.

My migranes have gotten A LOT better since I stopped drinking diet soda and diet products that has aspartme(sp??). I have done a lot of reading and diet soda and product can give you MS symptoms. I also have to limit my chocolate.

I spent most of Sunday in the ER with what turned out to be the worst migraine I have ever had!!! It started out with SEVERE pain in my left temple. It shot me out of a deep sleep.. It then radiated around my left ear and down my neck and I was really nauseous.... It was 1am in the morning when it started... I waited until everyone woke up (around 1030am)and then went to the dr.. They did a couple of exams and then said they had to call an ambulance and I HAD to go to the ER right away.. I didn't do too good on the neuro exam..RED FLAG for a stroke!!!! I ended up going to the ER and they did more tests.. Took blood and sent me for a CT... Nothing major on the CT..Thank god. There was a small issue with a narrow artery, but that didn't cause my head pain.. I was diagnosed with a MASSIVE migraine caused by one or more of these... Stress, hormones, environmental, sinus, and tension... I have to follow up with a neuro. I was put on migraine medicine...

My usual migraines felt nothing like this on.. I usually get pain in the top of my head that radiates into the back of my head and I get vision problems...

You should go to the dr and see what is going on...
