Both times I went to Key West, I stayed at the Case Marina Resort. It's gorgeous, has a private beach, good dining and is close to town.

I stayed at Heron House last year and really liked it. It's small, has it's own pool, continental breakfast included and walking distance to everything.

We rented a condo in the Truman Annex. It was a fantastic location, walking distance to a lot of the attractions and had the added bonus of a kitchen and laundry room so we could save some money on food. The complex also has a pool.

We stayed at Southernmost on the Beach 2 years ago and loved it. It is on one end of Duval Street, I can't remember if it is the North end or South end. Anyway, we walked one night to a restaurant on the opposite end and it was maybe 1 mile. It had a pool and it was on the beach even though there really isn't much of a beach. There were lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We would definitely stay there if we went back..and we do wan't to go back.
