Had my first sono today Updated 2nd sono

I had my first sono today at 5w5d and the sono tech had a very hard time finding the sac. I was freaking out when she couldn't find it with a transvaginal sono. She had to do an abdominal sono and she said she was able to see the sac. Dh and I couldn't really see anything. The tech said she was able to see the yolk sac but wasn't able to confirm, my dr said he could not see that yet.

My dr wanted to see my blood work because of the little he could see in the sono. My blood work came back great, but I am still so nervous. I'm going back monday I'll be 6w4d is their a possibility I could hear the hb or is that too early. Also would it be rude of me to ask for a different sono tech? I really felt like she was inexperienced because I've never had a problem with a tech not being able to see my uterus before.

I had my second sono this morning. I had pushed it back a few days because I was so nervous and I wanted to insure I'd be able to hear a heartbeat. We were definitely able to see the baby and saw a heartbeat, we couldn't hear it (I have no idea why) but it was 150bpm. I am measuring 2 days ahead. My dr. said everything is looking fine. I will go back in 2 weeks and if everything goes fine I'll be released to my ob. I am still very nervous, but I am starting to let myself get excited.

honestly i would ask for a different soon tech.. doesn't sound like she knew exactly what to look for if she couldn't see it transvaginally but then "saw" it abdominally

ive never had an abdominal sono early on bc its almost impossible to see anything

Thanks I was up all night thinking about it. I will ask for a different sono tech. I'm praying everything will be all right. I can't handle going through another mc.

theres no way she could see anything abdominally this early, but she could possibly see the sac, yolk, and fetal pole transvaginally. if you are sure you are 6w4d next week you should see a heartbeat.
