? for Dr. Braverman Patients
Hi, I live in SC and I'm considering consulting with Dr. Braverman. I'm not sure if I will travel to NY or do a phone consult. I had thought that I would travel to see him since he is in network with my insurance, but from what I have read, he isn't taking insurance any longer. Just wondering if anyone can share any information in regards to this. Has he stopped taking any insurance or is it just for certain procedures, etc? Any information would be helpful as I'm trying to figure out what to do. Thank you and best wishes to everyone. Liz

Does he bill insurance for the out of network or do you have to pay upfront and then get reimbursed by insurance. Thanks for the info.

I just asked this very question in another post. I was wondering the same.

Re: ? for Dr. Braverman Patients
I would consult with him for reproductive immunology treatments. My insurance would cover a consultation in person, but not a phone consult. Since a phone immune phone consult would cost $650 and the followup $350, if my insurance would pay, it would be cheaper for me to drive to NY (my husband's work supplies his vehicle and gas for personal use).

i believe dr. b consults with women all over the country! as for the insurance, i believe the office bills the insurance and then will bill you for anything not covered. if you have a deductible that hasn't been met yet, you'll need to pay that up front. this has been my experience. you could always call the office and talk to them about it.
