Anyone take Fish Oil?
I want to start taking it for the DHA instead of just taking the DHA vitamin separately but wonder if its safe to take during pregnancy? The bottle I got says it has no mercury.

i kno my DHA pill is DHA from plants, not fish...so not 100% sure...
but I would THINK that if it's no mercury, then it should be fine, i think the mercury is the only concern with it to begin with...
id ask your DR though...just to be sure

I take it-- I take the Nordic Naturals brand, "Burst of Lemon". It has no fish taste.

My OB said there is a difference between regular fish oil and prenatal DHA in the way they derive the DHA. I use the Nordic Naturals brand, I buy it at Whole Foods.

It's fine....I have high cholest. and instead of taking Lipitor or whatever I take prescription strength Fish Oil. Never had any issue and they did this since I was TTC and have never taken me off of it. I also took OTC Fish Oil w/Omega 3 for years.

I take the dha pill that comes with my prenatal.
In my 2nd tri I have allowed myself some fish every so often. Usually tuna or salmon, or shellfish.
