Anyone ever gone on one? I am thinking of doing it from NY on Norwegian in February. Its a 1 day cruise.
Any positives/negatives?

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
I did it last year..it was fun-make sure you get on the ship as early as possible so you can really enjoy everything
We did the show, ate dinner at the chinese restaurant, and drank a lot lol

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
i 2nd the PP said. Did it with DH 3 years ago; and with my sis like 7 years ago.
get on the ship as EARLY as possible like 11am so that you can take advantage of the full day. Eat lunch; go to the spa (if you want) relax; have dinner see the show go to the club.
Also-the duty free shop was PACKED. Even DH bought some liquor. Really good deals on bottles of liquor.

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
I've heard mixed reviews. One friend went a couple of years ago and didn't enjoy it at all. They felt the clientele was less then desirable. Then I know someone who went last spring and had a blast. I guess like anything else, it's what you make it.

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
I did it for my bachelorette party in '06, it was really fun and perfect for a night to party with friends, but you're on the ship for less than 24 hours... we all wished it was 2-nights. Try to look for a 2-night instead of a 1-night, norwegian has one in April 2012 from NY that's a 2-night. We booked one in January (from FL) on carnival, can't wait!

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
IMO, not worth the money when we looked into it last winter. With taxes and fees it was something like 200 a person. Plus then you have to pay for dinner, drinks, etc.
Cheaper to get a room in the city and do all the activies on land. Just wouldn't be able to gamble.

Re: Cruise to Nowhere
I did it a few years ago with a bunch of girlfriends. It was in September and we had a really hot day so we were able to lay out by the pool. It was fun..tons to do on the boat.
