Hair Salon Dilemma: Kinda long

I've been going to the same saon for years and years. I have gotten cuts, color, highlights, updos, blowouts, makeup---EveRyTHING from this salon. I have seen two stylists there.

They are on the pricey side, but worth it. You get the royal treatment.

I bought a groupon for a small salon in my nabe for the heck of it--$40 for $80 worth of services. I figured I would use it for a couple of blowouts because my regular place is kinda far from me.

The groupon was about to expire so I called them and made an appointment for a clear glaze and a blowout. I was afraid to do anything drastic at a place I didn't know well.

The place is small and not fancy at all, but their prices are quite similar to the swanky place I go to now.

When I got there the stylist I worked with asked if perhaps i wanted to try a color glaze since it's not permanent. I HAD dark brown hair with lighter brown highlights that i just wasn't loving so I said to go ahead. We chose a rich auburn color.

IT LOOKS GREAT. I LOVE IT! She also gave me a trim and a blow out, which wasn't as good as the blowouts I usually get, but whatever. The trim looks good.

My problem is that even though I love the color, this little salon is really expensive. The total for the glaze, blowout and trim came to $133. I asked why they charged for the blowout when I got a cut and she told me that they always charge for blowouts regardless of the services you receive.

FINALLY, IF YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR!!!

I don't think I want to go back to this little place because the fact that they are so expensive for a dinky place turned me off.. I was also turned off being charged for a blowout when I received two other services.

BUT---I want to keep this color!!!

So, how do I get the brand/color number/name of the glaze she used on my hair so that I can tell my regular stylist that this is what i have been yearning for FOREVER?

I swear, I must have gotten over a dozen compliments today.

I need this glaze color!!! How? Help me!!

I would tell your current salon that your mother/sister/BFF bought this groupon and forgot about it and it was about to expire and couldn't use it. You decided to and wasn't crazy about the place but you love the glaze color and if they could replicate it

This is a great idea, but the glaze is going to fade and how will they know what color it is?

I guess I can look at their books and figure it out from there.

Call the small salon and tell them that a family member from out of town loved the color and that she would like to get it done in her area..

Or just ask them to write it down so next time you can get the same thing again and that you are anal and want to make sure its correct..
