Removing sliding shower doors
Our shower has sliding glass doors that were there when we bought the house and I hate them. They are such a PITA to clean. I want DH to remove them, but is it something that will just screw out easily, or will it more likely leave a huge ugly mark along the tub and shower walls were it was attached?

Re: Removing sliding shower doors
It will definitely leave a mark. Hopefully you'll be able to clean most of it up so you can't really tell, and you can caulk the screw holes so it's not that obvious. You should be able to get it to look pretty close to never having it, if it isn't too bad, and you aren't too OCD....

Re: Removing sliding shower doors
I took our down by myself. It was pretty easy. The doors lifted right out, then I pulled off the top track. I unscrewed the side tracks, which pulled right off- didn't even need to cut the caulk. I was left with 2 screw holes on each side, but it's not very noticeable and the shower curtain covers it. The bottom track pulled right off too. It was only glued down, so with a little elbow grease, I was able to get all the glue off. There are no holes on the tub. I'm so happy I did it. It looks so much better.
