Il Mulino??

I keep reading people rave about this place, looked at the menu online and it looks so ordinary/typical Italian..but I know it is $$$$. So those who have been, is the food great? Do they have "different" stuff??

I have never been to Il Mulino but Ive been to Il Giglio (their sister restaurant) and its amazing. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic.

I've only been to the one in the West Village and had the worst restaurant experience of my life. I hear the ohe one on LI is better but I just don't know if its worth it.

I love it there! However, my DH is just ok with it and thinks it alright and not worth the price. I love it and so does my FIL.

I love Honu- and that's another place my husband disagrees on....so who knows.

My friend's uncle owns all the Il Mulinos! We just went with him in June to the one in Roslyn and it was AMAZING!!! the champagne truffle raviolis are to DIE for! Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to go back! I would highly recommend it!

P.S. - DH and I went to Italy a few weeks later and the food at Il Mulino was just as good! We will be going back soon!

I went several years ago, but the food was pretty wonderful. I really loved their lamb chops.

We went to the one in Florida. It was horrible. Definately not worth the price. Will not be returning there. I hear the one is Roslyn is really good but after my experience with the one in Florida, I am afraid to try it.
