Costa Rica recs?
Planning a vacation for February to Costa Rica. Anyone have any recommendations on locations/hotels/anything? We plan to leave DS with my mom so it will be just DH and I.

My sister stayed in the town called tamirindo
She said it was a small surfing town and it was amazing ... she loved the location and all the excursions she took from there

We're actually going to Tamarindo in February!!
We're staying at Los Altos De Eros, and we're hoping to do a tour with 123Reserve to the rainforest
Other than that, we're really just planning on doing the beach

I have been doing research of my own because I want to go in January. I would really love to stay in the Arenal area by the volcano.

we went three years ago and loved it! we stayed at arenal by the volcano and then took a transport bus to manuel antonio by the beach. arenal was stayed in lost iguana, one of my all time fave hotels! we went ziplining, hiking, etc.

We went this summer. We went to Manuel Antonio and Arenal. I think a great first trip would be splitting your time between both of these locations. If you need more information FM me. I have lots of hotel and restaurant recommendations.

Went in May for my Honeymoon! Stayed in guanacaste-beautiful beaches; didn't make it to arenal; but saw rincon de la veja volcano.
