Driving from NY to Toronto!
with a toddler... help!
Anyone done this, even minus the toddler?
Did you stop along the way anywhere to stretch your legs?

we did this last year, no kids (we dont have any). Dh says we stoped for lunch, but who remembers where lol then we spent the night on the canadian side of niagara falls. Pretty boring drive.

Agree. Not much to see, we stopped at a rest stop or two to move the legs.
I got a speeding ticket on the way back home. Be careful they patrol heavily.
I did bargain them down (over email LOL) to going thru a stop sign instead of speeding... but still.

We did this in July. On the way up, we took the thruway to Niagara, spent 2 days there, then continued on to Toronto. We took a lot of rest stops along the Thruway. I think this is the quickest way to go. On the way back down we decided to go a different way (which took a little longer). We went east from Toronto to the Thousand Islands Region, looked around there a little, then took I-81 South in NYS all the way to Binghamton, and then Rte 17 through Orange County back down to NYC. You drive through mostly farmland on 81, kinda boring.
